A devastating fire erupted and rapidly consumed a police headquarters in Ismailia, Egypt, on Monday, leaving at least 38 individuals injured, as per information from security sources.

Fortunately, no fatalities have been confirmed thus far, but the presence of soldiers within the building and concerns about the smoke emanating from the charred multi-story structure of the Ismailia Security Directorate have prompted heightened hospital readiness.

The exact cause of the fire, which ignited at the Security Directorate’s headquarters in the early morning hours, remains undisclosed, according to AFP. Multiple fire brigades rushed to the location and were able to contain the flames, reports indicate.
