Educational activities in northern Israel are suspended until at least Monday at 6pm (15:00 GMT), impacting hundreds of thousands of children.
Additionally, the Israeli military imposed restrictions on large gatherings in northern Israel, including Haifa. Despite the attacks, there were no reports of casualties or significant damage in Israel on Sunday. The United Nations special coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, warned that the latest violence could lead to an “imminent catastrophe” in the Middle East, emphasizing that a military solution was not the answer. The situation remains tense, with both sides at risk of escalating the conflict.
