10 policemen were martyred and 9 were injured in the terrorist attack on the police station in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday morning.
Police said that terrorists attacked a police station in Daraban Tehsil of DI Khan late on Sunday night as a result of which 10 police personnel were martyred and 9 injured.
The police said that terrorists attacked the police station from all sides, threw grenades and fired heavily.
The security personnel retaliated but the terrorists managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness. All the injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital for treatment. Police and security forces surrounded the area and started a search operation.
It should be remembered that on December 12, 2023, terrorists attacked Daraban police station in which three policemen were martyred. The terrorists rammed a car full of explosives at the main gate of the police station. 16 security personnel were also injured in this attack.
