Renowned television creator and actress Mindy Kaling was bestowed with the esteemed National Medal of Arts by U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday.
The award was presented on behalf of the National Endowment for the Arts to recognize Kaling’s significant contribution to the entertainment industry with her hit TV shows such as The Mindy Project and Netflix’s Never Have I Ever.
Kaling was thrilled to receive the honor and visited the White House to accept the award from the President himself. After receiving the accolade, the Office star, aged 43, expressed her gratitude by taking to her Instagram account, where she dedicated the award to her late mother Swati Chokalingam
