ISLAMABAD: Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), commends the Chief Justice’s recommendation for a discussion among all political factions.

On Wednesday, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Umer Ata Bandial, suggested that the apex court could be flexible and alter the election date if all the political parties reach a consensus for dialogue.

Supporting the proposal, Zardari urges his allies and other political groups to unite and put an end to the ongoing crises.

The former President reveals that political parties have already initiated talks to resolve the election-related issues. When the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) joins forces for the general election, the opposing party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, will also be consulted.

Zardari adds that with some time granted by the CJP, holding elections on a single day can become achievable through discussions.
