Nicholas Hoult recently shared his thoughts on losing the coveted role of Batman to Robert Pattinson.
During an interview with GQ España via Variety, Hoult was asked if he would have liked to play the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Hoult responded positively, stating that he believes most actors would want to portray the iconic character.
Hoult also praised director Matt Reeves for his fantastic ideas and for creating a brilliant movie, while acknowledging that Pattinson did an amazing job with the character. Hoult further added that he didn’t think he could have fit as well into the world that Reeves created as Pattinson did.
The Warm Bodies star also revealed that while it was painful to be told he did not get the role, he eventually had to accept it as normalcy.
In the end, Hoult displayed grace and maturity in accepting his loss and acknowledging the success of Pattinson’s portrayal of the Dark Knight.
