According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the troops confronted the terrorists at their location, leading to the death of one terrorist and the injury of two others. Additionally, weapons and ammunition were seized from the assailants.
“The deceased terrorist was actively involved in nefarious activities against security forces and the targeting of innocent civilians,” stated the ISPR. It also noted that the local residents commended the operation and expressed their wholehearted support in eradicating the menace of terrorism from the region.
The encounter with the terrorists occurred a day after the armed forces neutralized three terrorists and injured four others during a firefight in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan district, as reported by the ISPR.
