CHAKWAL: In a devastating incident on the bustling Islamabad-Lahore motorway near Kallar Kahar, a passenger bus veered off the road, resulting in the loss of 12 lives, including women and children. Additionally, 24 individuals sustained injuries during the mishap.
According to the motorway police, the ill-fated bus was en route from Rawalpindi to Lahore when it encountered a catastrophic accident near the scenic Kallar Kahar salt range. Preliminary investigations suggest that the brakes malfunctioned, leading to the unfortunate incident, as revealed by law enforcement officials.
Promptly responding to the distress call, the police and dedicated personnel from Rescue 1122 swiftly arrived at the scene, undertaking the challenging task of transporting the deceased and wounded to nearby medical facilities.
