In a significant achievement, two breathtaking destinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have garnered international acclaim, being recognized as Biosphere Reserves by UNESCO in Paris, as per The Republic Policy News.
KP has designated two remarkable areas as Biosphere Reserves, namely the Gallies Biosphere Reserve and Chitral Bashkar Garmchashma Biosphere Reserve.

Garam Chashma in Chitral and the scenic stretch from Bagnoter to Barian in Abbottabad district have been designated as these remarkable areas. The management and administration of these Biosphere Reserves fall under the purview of UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere (MAB) program.
