Sheikhupura Train Crash: 31 Injured as Two Trains Collide

In the most recent train collision, a total of 31 passengers sustained injuries on Sunday following a collision between two trains near Qila Sattar Shah Station in the Sheikhupura district of Punjab.

Sources indicate that the passenger train en route to Lahore, which originated in Mianwali, was traveling on the same track as a freight train, leading to the collision.

Despite the train driver’s efforts to avert the collision, the crash could not be prevented.

Rescue personnel report that 31 passengers on board the train suffered injuries in the incident. Five of the injured passengers have been transported to the district headquarters hospital.

Railway authorities have confirmed that rescue operations are in progress at the accident site, and an investigation into the collision has been initiated.
