Despite suffering monthly losses of Rs12 billion and a total accumulated loss exceeding Rs740 billion, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced that it will reward its employees with an increment bonus for their commendable performance.
As reported by The Republic Policy News, PIA’s management made this decision to recognize and appreciate the dedication and hard work of its employees, which resulted in positive financial outcomes from April to September this year.
The increment bonus will be implemented starting from October 1, 2023, and the specific payment amounts have been determined based on the bonus structure issued in 2022.
According to PIA’s statement, the increment will range from 5% to 10% of the salaries paid on March 31, 2023. However, employees who have already submitted notices to leave the company on or before October 2023 will not be eligible for this bonus.
Additionally, individuals who were newly hired, promoted, or received a salary increase between April 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023, are also excluded from this increment.
