Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken action by filing a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against PTI leader Shandana Gulzar. The complaint alleges that Shandana Gulzar engaged in false propaganda against Maryam Nawaz. Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari addressed the media, emphasizing that those spreading false propaganda would no longer be tolerated. She asserted that anyone making accusations against CM Maryam Nawaz must provide evidence to support their claims. Failure to do so would not be forgiven.

Shandana Gulzar allegedly presented an audio recording of Maryam Nawaz related to Zilley Shah’s death. However, the PTI leader is now expected to submit this audio to the FIA for investigation. Bokhari made it clear that the “woman card” would not shield anyone from facing legal consequences. The PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz) manifesto advocates for stricter defamation laws. Bokhari announced a zero-tolerance policy on behalf of the party, signaling their commitment to addressing false allegations and maintaining integrity. In response to a question, Bokhari clarified that under the Charter of Democracy, the PML-N and the PPP (Pakistan Peoples Party) would not use each other as political weapons. This highlights a commitment to cooperation and avoiding unnecessary conflicts between the two parties.

Bokhari praised Asif Ali Zardari, describing him as a champion of reconciliation who makes sound decisions even in challenging circumstances. Zardari’s approach to politics emphasizes finding common ground and navigating complexities.

In summary, the situation involves allegations, evidence, legal processes, and political dynamics, all contributing to a complex and charged environment in Pakistani politics.
