Israel and Hezbollah have accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement intended to halt over a year of fighting between them. On Thursday, Israel said it fired on “suspects” traveling in vehicles in southern Lebanon, which it claimed violated the truce. Hezbollah, on the other hand, condemned Israel for attacking people returning to border villages, calling it a breach of the ceasefire.

Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah also accused Israel of violating the truce, emphasizing attacks on civilians in border areas. Meanwhile, the Lebanese army stated that Israel had broken the ceasefire multiple times on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Israel’s airstrike on Thursday, which took place near Baysariyah, north of the Litani River, was the first since the ceasefire began on Wednesday morning. Local security sources and media outlets confirmed the strike, further escalating tensions despite the truce.
