Supreme Court on Saturday set aside the Peshawar High Court’s decision allowing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) to retain its election symbol ‘Bat’.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz delivered the verdict at night after the arguments of the lawyers of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and PTI were completed.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz and comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Musrat Hilali, unanimously pronounced this decision in response to an appeal filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan against the Peshawar High Court.
