Free and transparent elections are also beneficial for the development and prosperity of the country. They can encourage good governance, accountability, transparency, and efficiency in the use of public resources. They can also foster a competitive and innovative environment where different parties and candidates offer their policies and programs to address the challenges and opportunities facing the country. By allowing the people to evaluate and compare these policies and programs, free and transparent elections can stimulate public debate, participation, and awareness of key issues affecting the country’s future.
