In Riyadh, a consultative ministerial meeting of Arab-Islamic foreign ministers called on Iran to immediately stop its attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Jordan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. In a joint statement issued after the meeting, the ministers emphasized the importance of respecting international law, humanitarian principles, and good neighborliness as essential steps toward ending regional tensions, ensuring security and stability, and promoting diplomacy to resolve the crisis.
The ministers also reaffirmed support for Lebanon’s security, stability, and territorial integrity, while condemning Israel’s aggression and expansionist policies in the region.
Speaking at the meeting, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed full support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence of all regional countries. He highlighted the need to end attacks on member states, preserve the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and address the root causes of the ongoing crisis.
Dar strongly condemned attacks on civilians, critical infrastructure, and energy facilities, stressing the importance of safeguarding regional energy security to prevent wider global economic disruptions. He also briefed participants on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts and reiterated the country’s commitment to playing a constructive role in resolving regional security challenges.
