During a visit to the Karachi Corps area of responsibility, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir commended the federal and provincial governments for their support of economic initiatives. He also stated that efforts by naysayers to create “despair and despondency” in society have been overcome through the combined efforts of all stakeholders. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the army chief was briefed on operational readiness and important training initiatives during his visit.
