On Monday, COAS Asim Munir proclaimed May 25 as “Pakistan Martyrs’ Day” and strongly condemned the May 9 attacks on army installations, monuments, and the desecration of martyr memorials, denouncing them as intolerable.

While addressing an award ceremony at GHQ Rawalpindi, he emphasized that every soldier and officer of the armed forces prioritizes their duty and responsibilities above regional, linguistic, and political biases.

“A robust army is the safeguard of a country’s security and unity,” he asserted.
