Clash between PTI workers and police over not allowing rally in KPK district

Kirk – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) activists and police clashed over not allowing an election rally in Kirk district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to sources, PTI activists and supporters pelted stones at the police vehicles due to which the doors were damaged and the windshields of the vehicles were broken.

Police officials claimed that the PTI had not taken permission from the district administration before the rally. He added that in response to the escalating situation, a large contingent had to be called for assistance.

Taking notice of the incident, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief has ordered action against those involved in the violence.
