The talented actress, renowned for her portrayal of Princess Neytiri in the monumental 2009 film Avatar, expressed her reaction on Instagram to the studio’s decision to postpone the release of the three sequels, ultimately pushing the conclusion of the franchise to 2031.
With a touch of humor, Saldaña captioned her post, “Well, well,” as she shared the news, playfully remarking, “I’m gonna be 53 when the last Avatar comes out. I was 27 when I shot the very first Avatar.”
While Avatar 3 will experience a one-year delay, premiering on December 19, 2025, the subsequent two installments of the Pandora franchise have encountered substantial postponements, spanning multiple years.
