In a noteworthy development, officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) engaged in two productive discussions in Durban, South Africa, on Tuesday, as reported by the publication.

During the ICC Executives meeting, held on the sidelines, the officials reached a mutual agreement to continue further deliberations aimed at the resumption of bilateral cricketing ties.

Speaking from Durban, PCB’s Ashraf revealed that he had the opportunity to hold two meetings with Indian counterparts in a span of just one day.

The first meeting witnessed the gathering of leading officials from both countries, engaging in a comprehensive group discussion. Subsequently, a one-on-one meeting ensued, during which Ashraf and Jay Shah explored various avenues to revive cricketing ties. Notably, Jay Shah responded positively to the invitation extended by Ashraf, expressing willingness to visit Pakistan either during or prior to the commencement of the Asia Cup.
