KARACHI: A protracted deadlock between Pakistan’s national cricket players and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee has left the players unpaid for over two months. The dispute, primarily centered on certain clauses in the central contracts, remains unresolved, as reported by the Private News Agency on Saturday.

While players express a willingness to agree to the PCB’s terms with the assistance of their agents, a major point of contention lies in the new contract conditions. These provisions restrict players from participating in foreign leagues, entering personal contracts, or engaging in any commercial deals without prior notification to the PCB.

Under the new contract rules, players seeking entry into foreign leagues must first secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the PCB. Sources reveal that the PCB has proposed its authority to revoke these NOCs at its discretion, with no provision for compensating players for potential losses. Additionally, players are required to share details of their league contracts with the PCB.
