In a recent incident, Indian forces carried out an unprovoked firing and shelling attack on Pakistani villages and Chenab Rangers check posts in the Charwa sector along the Working Boundary. The situation was reported by a correspondent from Sialkot. Pakistani forces promptly responded to the attack, successfully silencing the Indian gunfire. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties or property damage.
Observers believe that India’s claims of infiltration and aggression by Pakistan are an attempt to divert global attention from the recent penalization of its military officials by Qatar. A Pakistani military spokesperson strongly refuted the Indian accusation of “unprovoked firing” by Pakistan Rangers, labeling it as a baseless fabrication.
The firing incident occurred shortly after the Indian occupation army in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) announced that they had engaged in a gun battle, resulting in the reported deaths of five suspected fighters. Later in the day, India’s Border Security Force (BSF) reported an exchange of gunfire, alleging that Pakistani border troops initiated “unprovoked firing.” The skirmish took place near the Line of Control, as stated by the Indian army’s Chinar Corps. The Chinar Corps, stationed in the disputed region, claimed that the individuals killed were associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba and asserted that they had thwarted an “infiltration bid” in the Kupwara area of Kashmir, seizing assault rifles in the process.
