CTD’s crackdown: Six terrorists eliminated in Lakki Marwat

In Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a CTD operation on Thursday resulted in the killing of at least six terrorists in the Dadowala area. The CTD officials reported that the terrorists were involved in multiple attacks and assaults on security forces and were planning an attack on the Abbasia police check post. The officials recovered ammunition and explosives from the slain terrorists.

Terrorism has seen a resurgence in Pakistan since the end of the ceasefire with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) last year, leading to an increase in attacks across the country. As the security situation worsens, the CTD has been conducting consecutive operations and ramping up its efforts to counter terrorist activities.

In a separate operation in Peshawar’s Tela Band area on February 22, CTD killed one militant and arrested five others involved in over 20 extortion cases, grenade attacks, and firing incidents. The arrested terrorists were identified as members of the outlawed TTP.
