Addressing concerns about the more than 4.5 million Pakistanis living in Gulf countries, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said there was no reason for alarm despite rising regional tensions.
He emphasized that host governments in the Gulf have assured Islamabad that the safety and security of Pakistani nationals remain fully protected. According to him, no emergency alerts or distress reports have been received from members of the diaspora so far.
Dar added that Pakistan’s diplomatic missions across the Middle East are fully operational and closely monitoring the situation. Embassies and consulates, he said, remain active and prepared to assist citizens if needed.
He sought to reassure families back home that the government is in constant contact with relevant authorities and is keeping a watchful eye on developments, while urging the public to avoid panic and rely on official updates.
