Two separate explosions in Balochistan, Pakistan, targeted security forces, killing at least five people and injuring over 30 others, according to reports.
The first explosion took place on the RCD Highway in Nushki, where a security forces vehicle was struck in what authorities confirmed was a suicide bombing. The blast claimed five lives and injured 32, including both security personnel and civilians. The injured were rushed to Nushki Hospital, with some in critical condition. Authorities cordoned off the area and suspended traffic due to security concerns.
A police official confirmed, “It was a suicide attack targeting a security forces vehicle.” Medical teams are working to treat the injured while investigations continue into the attack.
The second explosion occurred at the main gate of the Levies Line in Qila Saifullah. While the blast caused significant damage to the gate, no casualties were reported. Security forces quickly sealed off the area to collect evidence and determine the nature of the attack.
In response to the bombings, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his sorrow and condemnation of the attacks.
