Renowned adventurer Sajid Sadpara is gearing up for an extraordinary challenge as he sets out to conquer Nanga Parbat without relying on supplementary oxygen or local Sherpa assistance.
With the Nanga Parbat base camp now in his sights, the intrepid climber has already conquered six of the world’s highest peaks without artificial oxygen.
In a groundbreaking achievement earlier this year, Sajid made history by successfully summiting Mount Everest without the aid of supplementary oxygen or Sherpas’ support in May 2023.
It’s worth highlighting that Sajid, son of the legendary mountaineer Ali Sadpara, aims to conquer all 14 of the world’s eight-thousanders without relying on supplemental oxygen. He has already triumphed over Pakistan’s K2 (8,611m), Gasherbrum-I (8,080m), and Gasherbrum-II (8,035m), as well as Nepal’s Manaslu (8,163m), all without the use of supplemental oxygen.
In a similar vein, Norwegian mountaineer Kristin Harila has expressed her ambitious goal of summiting Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, K2, and Broad Peak in Pakistan. She aims to secure the title of the fastest climber to conquer the world’s 14 highest peaks within a remarkable three-month timeframe.
