Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday released the preliminary list of candidates contesting for seats reserved for minorities in the National Assembly.
According to the list released by ECP, nomination papers of 37 candidates for 10 seats of National Assembly have been accepted.
In the light of Supreme Court’s decision, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been excluded from the competition for minority seats.

As per the schedule issued by the ECP, appeals for acceptance or rejection of nomination papers by the returning officers can be submitted till January 16 and the Appellate Tribunal will hear them till January 19.
Revised list of candidates will be released on January 20, nomination papers can be withdrawn till January 22, final list of candidates will be released on January 23.
