In an effort to empower Pakistani students in tackling the climate crisis, Nanjing University of Information Sciences and Technology (NUIST) has launched a comprehensive scholarship program focused on Climate Change and Environmental Governance.

Professor Dr. Tong Jiang, Executive Director for the Research Institute of Climatic and Environmental Governance at NUIST, confirmed the news and highlighted the fully funded scholarships available to Pakistani students in this field. The aim is to equip these students with research skills and knowledge to address climate challenges effectively.

To facilitate this initiative, NUIST has joined hands with NUST, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in scientific research and facilitate student and faculty exchanges. Furthermore, NUIST is expanding its research cooperation with other esteemed Pakistani universities such as Quaid-e-Azam University, COMSATS University Islamabad, and the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

This collaborative effort aims to strengthen the research capacity of Pakistani students and promote meaningful partnerships in the realm of climate change and environmental governance. Through these scholarships and collaborations, NUIST and its partners aspire to contribute significantly to the global fight against the climate crisis.
