ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) greenlights additional funding for the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Frontier Corps (FC).
In a significant development, the ECC, chaired by Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, gave the nod to a technical supplementary grant of 200 million rupees to bolster the Department of the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP). This allocation will cover essential employee-related expenses.
Furthermore, the ECC sanctioned a substantial technical supplementary grant for the Ministry of Interior, amounting to Rs 3813.95 million. Out of this, Rs 2989.37 million is allocated for FC KP (North), while Rs 824.58 million is designated for FC KP (South) to settle ration bills. The finance ministry’s press statement highlighted these key decisions.
In another crucial move, the ECC approved the Petroleum Division’s summary, outlining policy guidelines for imports facilitated by foreign suppliers through customs bonded storage facilities.
