In Atlanta, the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, was apprehended at a detention center in Georgia on Thursday, facing allegations of racketeering and conspiracy in connection with his efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 election in the southern state.
In a brief proceeding that lasted less than half an hour, Mr. Trump, who is 77 years old, was formally charged with 13 offenses at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, according to information released by the sheriff’s department.
The detention center documented Mr. Trump’s height as 1.9 meters (approximately six feet and three inches), his weight as 97 kilograms (about 215 pounds), and described his hair color as either “Blond” or “Strawberry.”
Other individuals implicated in the alleged racketeering scheme have also turned themselves in to Georgia authorities in the past few days and have had their booking photographs taken.
