The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the prevailing scorching heatwave in the nation is set to ease up starting this week as pre-monsoon showers are expected to drench most areas of the country starting from June 25 (Sunday).
According to the weather forecasting agency, the upper and central regions of the country are anticipated to experience rainfall accompanied by dusty thunderstorms from June 25 to 30, with intermittent breaks.
“The Meteorological Office has revealed that moist air currents are infiltrating the upper and central regions of the country from the Arabian Sea, while a westerly wave is poised to enter the upper parts of the country on June 25,” stated the PMD in an official statement.
