In a landmark visit, the International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation, headed by Chairman Greg Barclay and CEO Geoff Allardice, lauded Pakistan as a serene destination for sports and expressed utmost contentment with its ability to host the prestigious 2025 Champions Trophy.

Adding to their positive stance, the ICC officials hinted at playing a constructive role in bridging the gap between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), while seeking firm commitments from Pakistan regarding their enthusiastic participation in the upcoming World Cup, as per The News report.

Barclay and Allardice graced Lahore with their presence, aiming to secure unequivocal assurances from the PCB regarding the spirited involvement of the Pakistani team in the highly anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup, slated for October-November.

Seeking a seamless tournament, the ICC has urged the PCB not to insist on the implementation of a hybrid model for their matches in the World Cup, fostering harmony and fair play.
