If the President obstructs the appointment, there is a plan B, Ishaq Dar

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that appointments to two important positions of the Pakistan Army will be made by November 28. If the President of the country obstructs the issue of appointment, then we also have a plan B.


Speaking in a private TV program, Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar said that the appointment of the Chairman Joint Chief of Staff would be made before the 27, while both appointments can be made on two different days. It is hoped that the entire process will be completed by November 28.

In response to a question, he said that if the President tries to obstruct the appointment of the Army Chief, then we have a ‘Plan B’. Answering the question about the retirement of Lt. Gen. Asim Munir on November 27, Ishaq Dar said that the solution is also with us.

Discussing the economic situation of the country, he said that there is no risk of the country defaulting, and all payments will be made on time. Regarding negotiations with Tehreek-e-Insaaf, he said that we are ready for talks, but these negotiations should be unconditional.
