On Monday, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq ordered the authorities concerned to shift the PTI chairman from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail.
The court is hearing a petition submitted by the former prime minister’s lawyers regarding his shifting from the Attock to Adiala Jail.
Chief Justice said that the status of PTI Chairman’s sentence has changed. All the under-trial prisoners of Islamabad are in Adiala Jail, so why the PTI Chairman is still in Attock, the court asked.
The court asked the additional Attorney General, Manoor Iqbal Dogal if you are sent to Rahim Yar Khan jail, will the trial be started there.
The CJ remarked that shift the Chairman PTI went to Adiala Jail.
During the hearing, the lawyer requested the court that the PTI Chairman is a sportsman, so an exercise machine should be provided to him.
The CJ said that according to the prison rules, facilities should be given to him according to the entitlement as rights should not be violated.
