Illegal Appointments in Sindh Bureaucracy

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Sources inside Sindh bureaucracy has informed Republic Policy that postings of personnel in service or after retirement are being done without due process of law.
They claim that appointment of huge number of retired federal bureaucrats in huge number as Member Sindh Public Service Commission has arisen a serious question mark on Provincial Autonomy in particular and Government of Sindh in general. The Process of selection is dubious too. Neither the composition of high powered committee was disclosed nor it was published widely. Prima facie, the notifications of their appointment were issued in haste and according to it their pay and allowances will be notified later on. This is an attempt of Government of Sindh to award favorite and blue eyed retired federal bureaucrats by re- appointing them on contract basis and this will pave the way for favouritism and nepotism as we observed from the very recent past and checkered history of Sindh Public Service Commission which was dissolved and stopped to work by Sindh High Court on the charges of favouritism and nepotism and subsequently allowed to work by the orders of Supreme Court.
