Bajaur: Independent candidates from NA-8 and PK-22 were fired upon in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
Rashid Khan, SHO of Khar police station, revealed that independent candidate Rehan Zeib Khan was busy in election campaigning in the area when the assailants opened fire on his vehicle.
Rehan was immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and succumbed to his injuries. Additionally, four other people were injured during the incident.
Bajaur district police officer Kashif Zulfikar suspected that this incident seems to be a target killing.
On the other hand, PTI condemned the killing and said that Rehan was a candidate supported by PTI for the National Assembly seat.
