Information Minister Tarar Condemns PTI Leader’s Alleged Connections with Indian Journalist

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has denounced the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Raoof Hasan for his reported links with an Indian journalist. Tarar stated that these connections have exposed the PTI, founded by Imran Khan.

Hasan was arrested on July 22 for leading a digital media cell allegedly involved in spreading propaganda against Pakistan. He was later handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and then transferred to the custody of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) for interrogation in a terrorism case.

Tarar accused the PTI of being a “foreign-funded” party and claimed that it had been using its social media cell to run a campaign against the Pakistan Army. He also alleged that the PTI had received financial support from India.
