British High Commissioner Jane Marriott engaged in discussions with People’s Party (PPP) leader and former president Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House, exploring a diverse range of issues.

A party update shared on the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, conveyed that Mr. Zardari was in the company of Saleem Mandviwalla and former federal minister Dr. Asim Hussain throughout the meeting, which extended beyond an hour.

Insiders revealed that the former president conveyed an optimistic outlook regarding the PPP’s prospects in the upcoming general elections on February 8. However, he voiced the party’s apprehensions regarding a fair playing field in the lead-up to the elections.
