Interior Minister slams PTI’s “Jail Bharo Movement”

On Tuesday, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing the party of aiming to create political instability through their “Jail Bharo Movement.”

Presiding over a meeting to discuss the law and order situation in the country, Sanaullah was joined by the interior secretary, IGs of Punjab, Sindh, KP, and Islamabad, as well as home secretaries and the Islamabad commissioner.

The meeting concluded with a decision to enforce the law and order situation in the country and deal with those who violate the constitution sternly. Additionally, there was a strong emphasis on keeping a record of individuals who engage in activities against the state.

During the meeting, Sanaullah stressed the importance of collecting evidence against those who violate the constitution, as well as exposing anti-state elements.

The previous day, Sanaullah had stated that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was responsible for conducting transparent elections across the country.
