The Islamabad deputy commissioner (DC) has withdrawn the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) order issued against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
ON TUESDAY, the DC informed Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri of the Islamabad High Court that the MPO order issued against former Punjab chief minister Elahi had been withdrawn. The court disposed of the petition filed by Elahi.
The court asked the number of the FIR in which Elahi had been arrested.
After suspending the MPO order, the court ordered the release of Elahi and summoned the Islamabad DC personally.
