Six militants were eradicated on Wednesday in a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Datakhel region of North Waziristan, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The military’s media branch revealed that an intense firefight occurred on March 8, which led to the death of six terrorists. The slain militants were found to be actively engaged in terrorist activities against both security forces and civilians, and weapons and ammunition were seized from them, as stated in the press release.
The locals of the area have shown their full support to eliminate terrorism from their region and lauded the security forces’ prompt response. This achievement comes a week after another successful IBO conducted in North Waziristan, where one terrorist was eliminated after a fierce exchange of gunfire. The terrorist was involved in terrorist activities against security forces and innocent civilians, and weapons and ammunition were also discovered from the individual, according to the ISPR.
