The United States has reportedly tabled a fresh ceasefire proposal, offering Israel an immediate end to hostilities in return for the release of all captives held in Gaza. President Donald Trump publicly urged Hamas to accept the deal, warning of consequences if the opportunity was missed. However, no formal response has yet been issued.
Meanwhile, Israel confirmed that two people were injured after a drone launched from Yemen struck an airport in its southern region. Gaza’s health ministry now places the death toll at 64,368, with 162,776 wounded since October 2023. Thousands more remain trapped under rubble, while Israel continues to cite the October 7 attacks that left 1,139 Israelis dead and about 200 taken captive as justification for its campaign.
