Israel’s Military Expands Gaza Operations, Targeting Militant Sites

Israeli ground troops and armored vehicles initiated a large-scale offensive in the main northern city of Gaza, taking action from both eastern and western fronts. This offensive began three days ago and has intensified international calls to safeguard civilians in the Palestinian territory.

The Israeli military reported that it had targeted more than 600 locations held by militant groups over the past few days as part of its expanded ground operations within the Gaza Strip. This military action is occurring as Palestinian civilians face urgent challenges in accessing essential supplies such as fuel, food, and clean water. These shortages have become increasingly critical as the conflict enters its fourth week.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that its troops engaged with and neutralized numerous militants who had sought refuge in various buildings and tunnels while attempting to launch attacks on the Israeli forces. The IDF further noted that among those eliminated were four high-ranking members of the Hamas organization.
