Pakistan’s JF-17 Thunder Block-III emerged as a major attraction at the Dubai Airshow 2025, drawing strong interest from multiple countries and securing a fresh memorandum of understanding for its procurement. According to ISPR, the battle-tested fighter, which proved its capability in the 2019 and 2025 conflicts with India, has strengthened global confidence in Pakistan’s aviation industry. A Pakistan Air Force contingent displayed the advanced Block-III variant alongside the Super Mushshak trainer aircraft, signifying the country’s growing indigenous aviation expertise.

The JF-17 Block-III is a 4.5-generation multi-role jet equipped with modern radar and long-range missiles, enabling precision strikes and diverse combat operations. ISPR said Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu held key meetings with senior UAE defence leaders to deepen cooperation in training, aerospace technologies and operational coordination. UAE officials praised Pakistan’s modernisation efforts and expressed commitment to expanding defence partnerships.

Jointly developed by Pakistan and China, the JF-17 program has evolved through three blocks since its first delivery in 2007, with the latest Block-III inducted in 2023.
