Karachi is poised to experience a pleasant downpour on Sunday (tomorrow) in select areas, as indicated by weather specialist Jawad Memon.

Numerous regions in the bustling metropolis witnessed a delightful blend of moderate and heavy rainfall today, including Gulshan-e-Maymar, Surjani Town, Malir, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, and Federal B area.

Memon affirmed, “There is a possibility of intermittent showers tonight, and there is a higher likelihood that Karachi will enjoy moderate rainfall in certain areas tomorrow.”

The weather analyst further added that the city by the sea will continue to relish the refreshing rain until July 10 (Monday).

Furthermore, today’s rain-related incidents have unfortunately resulted in the loss of nine lives, while eight individuals have sustained injuries across the country, as per data shared by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

The majority of these unfortunate fatalities occurred in Punjab, predominantly due to incidents of electrocution and building collapses.

Effective implementation—especially over education, health, and natural resources—must be ensured with federal support for capacity building and local institution strengthening. 3.
