Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a strong warning over the deepening conflict in the Middle East, describing Zionism as a “threat to humanity” and alleging a broader plan to destabilise Pakistan by extending Israeli influence to its borders.
In a statement shared on social media, Asif claimed that the ongoing war involving Iran is part of a coordinated agenda. He argued that despite Tehran’s willingness to pursue a diplomatic agreement, war had been imposed on it with the aim of reshaping the regional balance of power. According to him, the ultimate objective is to surround Pakistan with hostile forces and weaken its sovereignty.
The minister alleged that Zionist ideology has influenced global economic systems and major world powers for decades, holding them “hostage.” He warned that a joint alignment of neighbouring states, including Afghanistan and India, could create insecurity along Pakistan’s borders.
Calling for national unity among Pakistan’s 250 million citizens, Asif urged people to rise above political and religious differences. He reaffirmed confidence in Pakistan’s armed forces and nuclear deterrent, stressing that the country seeks stability, mutual respect in international relations, and has no hegemonic ambitions.
