After a failed uprising in Moscow, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of private military contractor Wagner, along with his associates, engaged in a discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin to address various matters, as confirmed by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian government.

According to a report by French newspaper Liberation, Prigozhin met with Putin, Viktor Zolotov, the head of the National Guard, and Sergei Naryshkin, the boss of SVR Foreign Intelligence.

The meeting took place on June 29, several days after the thwarted rebellion, which posed a significant challenge to Putin’s authority since he assumed power in late 1999.

Peskov stated on Monday that Putin had extended invitations to 35 individuals, including Prigozhin and the commanders of the Wagner unit, and the meeting lasted for three hours.
