Lahore ATC rejects Khadijah Shah’s bail plea in Askari Tower attack case

LAHORE (republic policy) – On Thursday, an anti-terrorism court in the Punjab capital rejected a bail plea filed by fashion designer Khadijah Shah in the Askari Tower attack case.

ATC Judge Ejaz Ahmed Buttar issued the decision reserved a day earlier after Ms filed the post-arrest bail petition.

Her lawyer had argued that his client was not involved in the attack and requested the court grant her bail.

Earlier this week, Shah was sent to jail on Monday on judicial remand by the anti-terrorism court of Lahore.

Gulberg police station had registered a case of arson and vandalism on a plaza in Gulberg, Lahore. As against the prosecution’s claim, the suspects held that they were wrongly implicated in the case and may be released on bail.
