Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Lahore has been identified as the second most polluted city in the world, raising significant concerns for public health. The average smog level has hit 235, with the air quality index soaring to alarming figures: 410 in Johar Town, 276 on Syed Marat Ali Road, and 260 in the DHA area.

The rise in air pollution has led to worsening health issues, including sore throats, respiratory difficulties, and eye irritation. Health experts are advising residents to wear masks, monitor air quality before heading out, keep their homes sealed, and limit unnecessary travel.

In terms of weather, Lahore’s minimum temperature today is expected to be 21°C, with a maximum reaching 33°C. In response to the worsening smog situation, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has called for strict enforcement of environmental laws and mobilization of all relevant departments to tackle the issue.
